The Apprentices Tim Campbell on Careers
The first series of the BBC's Apprentice, Tim Campbell, said yesterday; "Be tenacious, rather than just persistent - you'll find a way through!".
Tim, pictured above, was the first winner of the show back in 2005. He went on; "There is no longer a job for life. Most people will have five to six minimum, so work on your transferable skills".
Morrisons CEO Dalton Philips said most jobs were not advertised, but filled by internal promotion or networking.
He said; "Get your foot in the door and work your way up. You can apply for better jobs internally".
Showing the unfortunate state of the UK's job market at present, there were actually only seventy positions available, showing that only the best will get those positions.
It goes without saying - if you're the best and your CV isn't the best, you may be one of the unlucky 630 that didn't get a job.
